All office action is done on the application or Patent Produced Automatically from our data base as word processing.
We completed the database numerical collection of EG patents until number 23345 with the following bibliographic data:

We continuously provide it with the full text of patent documents from different countries (EG, US and others) according to this addition according to the International Patent Classification (IPC).
We have in - house systems done by cooperation with WIPO attached archiving system EPO scan.
We are planning to apply a security system in mid-2005 and will add a monitoring and quality control component to our administrative system at the end of June 2005.

We have a LAN network with 123 terminals (Dell, HP, IBM) and 5 servers (see attached document "hardware").
-Software:
We use Oracle and Asp in our databases and web site.
-Information services available:
We have a Web site for our office which includes the published patents and
searchable database where we can find the bibliographic data for any
granted patent. Also, it includes all information needed to register patents
and others. The web site is : www. Egypo.gov.eg
We made 222 state of the art searches for users (see attached document "searches").
The library's acquisitions are indicated in the attached documents "Acquisitions"and "Total documents".

We transferred the granted patents into microfiche

Patent Applications:
We transferred patent applications from paper form to microfilm for the year 2004 (total = 536 applications)

-CD-ROMs and DVD systems which are available in the Egyptian Patent Office.
-The International network (Internet) through the foreign patent office databases such as:

2. Japan Patent Office
3. U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
4. Egyptian Patent Office database
-We exchange our Egyptian patent gazette and abstract gazette with the
foreign patent offices .
- We get patent documents in paper form , on microfilm, microfiche and CD-
ROMS.
- N.B. We prepare to exchange our patents documents on microfiche .
