Trademark e-services. In 2006, the Trademarks Online Filing System
was made available to both local and foreign clients. This year, The IP
Philippines is automating its filing system in preparation for making
electronic filing of trademark applications compulsory.
TM statistics are accessible only using the Office intranet. The Office

The Office publishes the allowed trademarks and registered marks in
the Trademarks e-Gazette which is published by IP Philippines on its

The processing of trademark applications is almost fully automated.
Bibliographic data concerning trademark applications are encoded
electronically and kept in a database. Search and examination are also
done electronically, with examiners accessing the trademark database
of IP Philippines and using the internet. Office actions and notices to
trademark applications are generated using the Trademark Electronic
Application Management System (TEAMS), which was developed by
the IT Group of IP Philippines. The same system is used to monitor the
progress of trademark applications.
All forms of statistical information and reports are generated from the
electronic database of IP Philippines.

The IP Philippines library is provided on the 2nd floor of the IP
Philippines building. It is open to both internal clients (IP Philippines
officials, examiners, researchers, etc.) and external clients (Patent and
Trademark practitioners, researchers, students, entrepreneurs, etc.)
and is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Trademark data are stored electronically and on paper. The paper files
will disposed of once these are digitized.

IP Philippines conducts information awareness campaigns and
seminar-workshops across sectors all over the country.
Various training courses are conducted by IP Philippines for different
participants (judges, prosecutors, IP practitioners, SMEs, academics
and researches, creators, inventors, etc.). Trainings for local
participants are conducted solely by IP Philippines or in partnership
with other offices and organizations. Training courses for foreign
participants are held jointly with WIPO and foreign IP offices.
The IP Philippines recently established the IP Research and Training
Institute (IPRTI) that now manages/conducts trainings involving local
and foreign participants
IP Philippines partners with organizations like WIPO and foreign IP
offices for the conduct of trainings for local and foreign participants
