Currently, the Standard is used for XML processing in a patent office proceeding, in electronic registers including PI, UM and ID information. Currently the Standard is not used for TM and Geographical indications. It is assumed that all of the Standard recommendations will be used in the new publication system.
It should be noted that the Standard does not provide the possibility to describe all the cases of the Russian office proceeding, so the compatible schema are used.
