Welcome!

This space has been created for IP Offices who exchange data in the context of the Hague System implementation.

It is meant to give access to useful documentation on updates on the data exchange.

Using Confluence also allows for some collaborative and less formal exchanges.

Considerations on changes happening as a result of the above roadmap

Bulletin (FTPIRD)

For Offices who retrieve data from the public FTP website, changes will occur as of April 7, 2023 (Edition 14 of the Bulletin).

The structure and content of the FTP folder will change as follows:

  • The root folder will continue to include DTD version (Sunset - to be decommissioned)
  • ST_96_V_4_0 will continue to include ST.96 V4.0
  • ST_96_V_4_0_test
  • ST_96_V_3_1 will be discontinued (no longer populated with new files)
  • ST_96_V_7_0 will now include the ST.96 V7.0
  • ST_96_V_7_0_test will include test files for the ST.96 V7.0

Decision supporting documents

Starting with Bulletin issue 10/2023, the FTP Bulletin publication now includes the decision supporting documents, the same way the Web Bulletin (https://www.wipo.int/haguebulletin) has been doing since 2015.

The documents are enclosed into the 'iyyyyww.zip' file inside the 'images' folder on ftpird, along with designs, into similar directories (named as the decision's IRN).

DTD (all issues)

Important notice regarding business entity:

The DTD format, that dates back to the time when only the US issued business entity information, only allows one business entity information per registration. As a result, since it is now possible for any counterparty to issue business entity information (which are expressed in ST.96 along with the CP in question), it is not possible any more to reflect the business entity information accurately in the DTD format. Therefore, as of April 1, 2023, the DTD format (which, it is reminded, has only been provided on a best effort basis since the entry into force of ST.96 v4.0) will only contain business entity information that is related to the US.
