Q: I'm importing a ST.25 file with a sequence containing 2 specifically defined nucleotides. Is there a way to add my sequence?

For a sequence to be included in an ST.26 compliant sequence listing it must meet the minimum length requirement. For specifically defined nucleotides, this is a minimum of 10 nucleotides. See WIPO ST.26 paragraph 8.

If you claim priority from an ST.25 sequence listing that does not meet the minimum length requirements, it will not be possible to generate an ST.26 sequence listing.

It's possible to keep this particular sequence as "Intentionally Skipped" into the ST.26 Sequence listing. nevertheless, this sequence should be included in the specification of your patent.

The excluded sequences may be included in the application body, where those sequences have not already been included therein.
