IPO currently examines biological sequence listings using the authoring tool CRF4 which was developed by the USPTO and is ST.25 compliant.
CIPO plans to upgrade to ST.26 for nucleotide and amino acid sequence listing when the replacement authoring tool becomes available.

Las listas de secuencias son especialmente presentadas de conformidad a las normas del PCT. El instituto utiliza regularmente el sistema EPCT para la transferencia de los documentos completos y las listas de secuencias de nucleótidos y aminoácidos apegándose a los requerimientos establecidos bajo esa plataforma. Sin embargo, también se tiene la práctica de enviar los listados de secuencia en formato papel como parte integral de la documentación Técnica a las Oficinas Internacionales de búsqueda.
