La Oficina de Patentes de Colombia tiene un sistema informático en el cual se encuentra toda la información asociada a las solicitudes de patentes. Esta información está disponible al público desde el momento de la publicación de la solicitud; dicho sistema permite que cada solicitud de modificación o corrección sea identificada y se encuentre vinculada al número de solicitud de patente, siendo posible la fácil identificación de estas actuaciones en el trámite y su trazabilidad en el sistema.

Se realiza una re-publicación (Fe de erratas) de la información bibliográfica en volúmenes separados de la Gaceta de Propiedad Industrial cuando existen errores en cualquiera de los componentes de los datos bibliográficos. Se indica el título, la fecha de la Gaceta y queda plenamente identificada con sus códigos INID la información bibliográfica correspondiente. Sin embargo, no se utilizan códigos para indicar el nivel de corrección, ni los códigos recomendados en el estándar para fechas de corrección o códigos de corrección suplementarios.
