Although WIPO Sequence can both import and validate simple sequence listings which contain greater than 100,000 sequences, if WIPO Sequence has trouble importing a particular sequence listing, we provide the following work-around solution below.

Step-by-step guide

The following steps should be undertaken:

  1. Create a project by importing a specified range of sequences which form part the selected sequence listing. For example, if the sequence listing has 100,000 sequences, then import 20,000 in the first pass.
  2. Within the project details page of the project, continue to import successive ranges of sequences into the relevant project using the import sequences function.
  3. Once you have completed this import process, verify that the current number of sequences shown at the top of the project matches the number of sequence that you have imported.

The 'hard' threshold size for the import of an ST.25 sequence listing is 300k simple sequences (just source feature) or 8k complex sequences (all mandatory and optional feature/qualifiers).
