When selecting "Extended" search, you can find all sets of patent applications inter-related by either priority claims or PCT national phase entries.

  1. Fill out an application or publication number and click "Extended" or just press the enter key.
  2. "Time Line" shows the result of extended family search in order of time.

When applications have the same filing date or national phase entry date, such application numbers are aligned on the same vertical line.

Switch between application number view and publication number view

  1. Select "Application" or "Publication" from View By radio buttons.
  2. If you select "Publication" number view, publication number rather than application number is displayed for each application in "Time Line".
  3. Each application is displayed in the different background color between application number ( ) and publication number ( ).
  4. If publication number is not available, application number will be displayed.
  5. By default, application number view is selected. You can change the default view by setting preferences. For more information, refer to "User Preferences".

Quick info popup

  1. Put a mouse pointer onto application numbers, and "Quick info popup" is displayed.
  2. "Quick info popup" shows the filing date, priorities, PCT information and the availability of search/Examination results.

Search report indicator

  1. The indicator means that the application has the search and/or examination report.

Application data non availability indicator

  1.  The indicator means that the application is not available.

Link to PATENTSCOPE

  1. Click the button , and you can view the application on PATENTSCOPE.

  1. If you find any problems in the search result, please click the button and inform us of them.
