Estos índices se publicaban de manera anexa a las Gacetas de propiedad Industrial hasta el año 2014. No se tiene prevista una fecha en la que se volverán a publicar y dependerá de que se discuta la importancia de aplicar nuevamente esta norma.

Se publica la Gaceta de la Propiedad Industrial utilizando formato electrónico en PDF, en donde la información bibliográfica está arreglada de acuerdo al estándar ST.9. Sin embargo no se aplican por el momento los índices para números de documentos, ni índices de clasificación como tampoco los índices por nombre alfabéticamente de manera adjunta o separada a la Gaceta
