How to protect your inventions through patents

• First, you should contact the national/regional patent office in your area for guidance on filing a patent application.
• When filing for patent protection internationally, there are mainly two available routes: filing separate patent applications directly with the patent office in each country where protection is sought or filing an international application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)

You can generally file an international patent application with your national or regional patent office if you are a resident or national of a PCT Contracting State. Alternatively, these applications can be filed directly with the International Bureau of WIPO.
