The regional IPAS workshop for Arab countries took place this year and for the second year in a raw virtually, due to the pandemic. The event was held during the period of November 22-25, on Zoom platform and brought together around 30 participants representing 14 countries and organizations from the region. 

The main theme of the workshop was on the transformation to the cloud, highlighting the features and business benefits of IPAS 4.0 (IPAS new edition on the cloud); business and technical requirements for transformation in addition to the division strategy for the support of the existing and future products in the times of the pandemic.  

There were also highlights on the Madrid data exchange which is now made available bi-directional in both current IPAS (IPAS 3.6.X) and the coming IPAS 4.0 and how to benefit from these capabilities by members states of Madrid Protocol, using IPAS. 

As usual, a day was devoted to participants to share their presentations and reports to update on the use of IPAS and IT at large for business automation, e-services along with outstanding challenges.
