WIPO GREEN Welcomes New Partner: Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA)

On February 18, 2016 WIPO GREEN welcomed its 66th Partner, the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA). WIPO Director General Francis Gurry exchanged letters with Mr. Masaru Itami, President of the JPAA in Tokyo, Japan to officially welcome the new Partner on board.

Established in 1899, the JPAA is the national professional bar association of Japanese patent attorneys, and has played a key role in the improvement of Japan’s industrial property rights system. It is also involved in raising awareness of intellectual property issues, through activities such as publishing the monthly “Patent” magazine and hosting meetings and seminars on a variety of relevant topics.
