Join Online: Forum on Sustainable Development 2020

March 9, 2020

Participate remotely in the discussion on green innovation, sustainable food and climate change, co-organized by WIPO GREEN in the framework of a major international Forum on Sustainable Development Goals in March.

Climate change and food security are among the global challenges that relate to the majority of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Apart from SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG13: Climate action, these challenges affect health (SDG3), economic status (SDG1), water and sanitation (SDG6) and other spheres of human life.

In the framework of the upcoming Geneva-based 2020 Regional Forum on Sustainable Development for the UNECE Region that will take place on March 19, WIPO GREEN will share its expertise on climate-friendly innovation, food security and technology diffusion.

The Forum’s organizers opened the event to the global community via web participation in all sessions. WIPO GREEN is mainly involved in organization of the Session 3: Actions for green and inclusive change.

Actions for green and inclusive change

This session will highlight a number of selected actions, commitments and initiatives that contribute to SDG acceleration through their impact, scale or level of ambition. It will discuss the impact of new actors’ engagement and the ways to amplify it, the synergies between the efforts of different groups as well as potential partnerships among and with new actors.
