Launch of new WIPO Flagship Publication “Green Technology Book”

Date: 10 November

Time: 16.00-17.00

Place: Egyptian Pavilion - Room A, Blue Zone

WIPO will launch its new flagship publication the “Green Technology Book” at an event in partnership with the Climate Technology Center and Network (CTCN) and Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt (ASRT).

The Green Technology Book puts innovation, technology and intellectual property (IP) at the forefront in the fight against climate change. The first edition of the “Green Technology Book” focuses on climate-change adaptation. This annual publication is a practical guide for those struggling with climate change first-hand, showcasing 200 technologies readily available or in the making.

WIPO will speak on “Accelerating the Low-Carbon Transition Through Sustainable Inclusive Trade”

Date: 10 November

Time: 15.00-16.30

Venue: Conference Room Khufu, Blue Zone

WIPO will be represented at the event organized by the International Trade Centre (ITC). Trade plays an important role in creating an enabling environment to support global mitigation efforts. Sustainable value chains are a market-based mechanism that 'pull' small business into the low-carbon transition, in contrast to regulations, which 'push' them into it.  The event will touch upon drivers of green technology innovation and dissemination as well as the role of IP in trade.

WIPO is co-organizing the event “Advancing Paris Agreement Implementation and Climate Action through Innovation and Technology”

Date: 11 November

Time: 11.00-12.00
