The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will host the official Geneva launch of the Green Technology Book Special EXPO 2025 Edition, organized in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in Geneva and other Organizations in Switzerland and the Geneva Environment Network. This event is part of the series that marks the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement. It will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (CEST) in Room A, WIPO Headquarters, Geneva.
This launch will feature distinguished participants including H.E. Ms Céline Jurgensen, Ambassador of France to the United Nations in Geneva and other Organizations in Switzerland, H.E. Mr. Katsuro Nagai, Ambassador of Japan to the WTO, WIPO and UNCTAD in Geneva, and Mr. Edward Kwakwa, Assistant Director General, Global Challenges and Partnerships Sector, WIPO.
Marking a decade after the Paris Agreement, this event will provide a platform for dialogue among policymakers, innovators, and technology providers on accelerating climate technology deployment. Discussions will focus on how to accelerate green technology deployment, aligning net zero initiatives with practical solutions, and closing knowledge gaps to support collective climate commitments.
This Special Edition showcases the latest breakthroughs in cutting-edge energy and climate technologies, spotlighting innovation examples, while demonstrating the role of WIPO GREEN as a catalyst for scaling up green technology solutions toward climate action.
