The Accelerator. That is the name of the program guiding sanitation entrepreneurs around the world on how to scale up their businesses and serve their communities. Created by the Toilet Board Coalition (TBC), a WIPO GREEN Partner since 2018, the one-year curriculum is tailor-made for every stage of the sanitation economy.
From someone with an innovative idea on building toilets to a small and mid-size enterprise (SME) looking for potential investors and business partnerships to grow and provide sustainable sanitation products and services.
The Toilet Board Coalition, based in Geneva, Switzerland, is driving private sector engagement in the sanitation space by supporting SMEs that are playing their part to ensure United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6.2: achieving access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all. Addressing sanitation needs also helps to reduce pollution that impacts both land and waterways.
