The speakers:

JASON J. LAWLER provides corporate and commercial counsel to companies in the life sciences and technology industries, particularly those on the cutting edge of biotech, food, and agricultural technology. He also advises financial and strategic investors on venture capital investments and private financings. Jason has also gained experience in the rapidly growing voluntary carbon offset market, where he provides counselling on diligence, structure, and negotiation of investments into reforestation and other emissions reduction and carbon sequestration projects.

DOMINIC COPPENS is a Senior Managing Associate in Sidley’s Brussels office. He advises governments, companies, and civil society on international trade rules, in particular on the rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO). Dominic’s recent work focuses on the intersection between trade and sustainability, including on circular economy initiatives, international waste regulation, new international rule-making in the area of sustainable trade, and trade aspects of the European Union Green Deal.
