WIPO GREEN Matchmaking Event @ ACEF Manila

On June 4, 2018, WIPO GREEN organized Sustainable Solutions for Air, Agriculture, Energy and Water: A WIPO GREEN Technology Matchmaking Event in Southeast Asia. The event, which took place during the 2018 Asia Clean Energy Forum in Manila, Philippines, is part of a green technology matchmaking project in the Asia-Pacific sponsored by Australia FIT/IP.

This half-day matchmaking event featured technology seekers from Cambodia, Indonesia and the Philippines who are on the hunt for innovative sustainable technologies and services in the areas of air, agriculture, energy and water. Participants exchanged ideas and opinions, made new connections, met potential partners, and heard from experts on specific topics such as project finance.

Technology matchmaking project

The goal of the project is to connect these technology seekers with green technology providers and experts, while also offering them training on intellectual property, project development, and other issues essential to the successful transfer of green technologies.

Technology seekers sponsored to attend the event via an Australia FIT/IP grant were also able to participate in other matchmaking sessions and networking opportunities organized during ACEF 2018.

The event took place on the 2018 Asia Clean Energy Forum's Networking Day, which also featured a matchmaking event on clean energy organized by IRENA and PFAN.
